Whenever I’m in the mood for sushi (which is pretty often), and I want to stay local, this is my go-to-spot! The clean and contemporary aesthetic offers a chill feel, and the food is really good. The menu is quite broad with everything from traditional dishes, to fusion, to creative sushi rolls. Every time I go, I try to have something different but I must admit, I have a few faves that you shouldn’t miss!

Oh, and did I mention that the prices are extremely reasonable.

CHOW FAVES: Crispy rice with spicy tuna, Warm mushroom salad, Yellowtail ceviche, Lobster rolls and The spicy yellowtail roll. All sushi, sashimi and rolls are fresh.

SIP: Sake

CHAT: My most recent visit surprised me a bit. It seemed like they downloaded a great iTunes playlist. We were groovin’ to Jay-Z, Michael Jackson, Prince and a few club/dance hits.

Momoya- 185 7th ave / 212-989-4466

I’ve also been to the UWS location but some of the dishes don’t have the same flavor- most notably- the warm mushroom salad.
