I had a double dose of sushi on Friday- and believe me, I was in heaven!

It all started with a late lunch at Nobu with all the usual suspects- yellowtail jalapeno, miso cod, rock shrimp tempura in creamy spicy sauce, sashimi salad, sushi (spicy tuna, yellowtail and eel rolls) and mochi ice cream.

After lunch, I headed back to the office to bang out a few things, and at about 8p I headed over to Koi.

Locanda Verde- always at the top of my list! I went there last night, and as always, I was in food heaven! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. It just really depends on what you’re in mood for. We didn’t have too much to eat last night because we were headed to the Hennessy Artistry event, and had to leave room for our SIPS!

TIP: Make a ressie- it’s always packed. If you’re feeling daring, you can walk in and try to dine at the bar- but there’s a list for that too (check in with a bartender at either one of the bars and put your name down)

CHOW FAVES (from last night- I have too many to list): Mezze Rigatoni with lamb bolognese and Sea bass with mushrooms, greens and mashed potatoes (this was a special) – the flavors blended together so nicely- there was a party going on in my mouth.

The Donald’s new hotel condo houses Quattro Gastronomia. I checked it out in late April. The Soho Italian resto definitely had a cool and sleek feel with columns and mirrored tiles. The food was tasty and full of bold flavors…….sorry I can’t say the same about the crowd. It’s still early (remember this was reviewed in April) so I’m sure Quattro will begin to establish a more consistent clientele.

CHOW FAVES: The notable dishes were the main lobster salad, fontina ravioli, seared turbot and tuna w. salsa verde

SIP: Terrific wine selection

THE SWEET SPOT: We topped things off with light and fluffy doughnuts with various fillings.

CHAT: BTW- The chef is an identical twin! They worked together at their Miami outpost but split up to open the NYC location. Also, check out the outdoor space- Bar D’eau (it’s closed for the season now because it’s too chilly).

Boutique Eat Shop (B.E.S.) is nestled in the heart of Chelsea- off the west side highway.

There’s no need to take a break from gallery hoping to grab a quick bite any more! You can have brunch or dinner while in gallery mode at B.E.S. Every where you turn there’s something cool and visually pleasing. They partnered with area galleries to create rotating installations.

Chow Crave: Baked By Melissa Cupcakes. Mini cupcakes that come in a variety of flavors. You have to be careful though- they are so good and small, that before you know it, you might consume 6 at a time! OK- maybe more like 8. These mini delights are a bit pricey but it’s worth it!

CHOW FAVES: Peanut butter cup, Red velvet, Cookie dough, PB+J and Cookies and cream.

CHAT: I often send and bring these bite-sized treats to friends and clients….AND it’s always a HIT! I recently had these at an event my friend Jen and I hosted- Couture, Cocktails & Cupcakes.
