Adventures of the Glam Foodie: Ciano
The former chef from Cru- Shea Gallante, is back on the scene! Ciano opened a couple of weeks ago, and I was excited to try it.
The rustic Italian resto is elegant but still cozy. The wood burning fireplace is a nice touch, and fills the room with a sweet and smokey scent. The service was pretty good.
Let me start with the truffle butter that accompanied the bread. It was so good!
Warm Calamari Salad with shaved fennel, frisee, olives and tomato-herb vinaigrette- Very light- everything blended well.
Veal Meatballs with polenta and truffle pecorino- Delish! The polenta blended well with the meatballs.
Lobster Pot with corona beans, fingerling potatoes, and porcini mushrooms- This was a bowl of goodness! The lobster was tender and the sauce was “lick the bowl” worthy!
Lemon-Rosemary Chicken with a ragu of chanterelle mushrooms and faro- This was a great choice. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
SIP: 2 glasses of Cabernet
CHAT: This is a good spot for a date, girl’s mellow night out, business dinner, and a family gathering.
