Adventures of The Glam Foodie in LA: Katsuya
I was first introduced to Katsuya in Studio City perched inside of a strip mall 6 or 7 years ago. It was love at first bite! From that point on, every trip to LA included a meal at Katsuya. I still go to the original Katsuya in Studio City but usually hit up the one in Hollywood.
The super trendy hipster resto is filled with energy. I love the vibe, decor, food, and cocktails. Katsuya offers a wide selection of sushi, cooked food, and specialty dishes. Most of which is pretty on point.
MY CHOW FAVES:
Lobster Dynamite- Half lobster sauteed with mushrooms and tossed in chef’s sauce baked to perfection. And it was just that- Perfection!
Kobe Tobanyaki- It’s served sizzling hot with great flavor!
Baked Crab Roll- This is my favorite roll on the menu.
Yellowtail Jalapeno- Pretty standard.
Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna- The rice is toasty and the spicy tuna with jalapeno adds just the right kick.
Albacore with Onions- The flavor and texture is wonderful.
Burning Mandarin- I love this cocktail. Just enough sweet, sour, and spicy!
At Katsuya with one of my girls last year.
