The food at The Slanted Door was delicious! Everything we ate was just as good or better than the dish before. This Modern Vietnamese resto offers up a variety of flavors, textures, and unexpected combinations.

I loved the open dining room with the Bay Bridge front and center. The gorgeous view is reason enough for a visit.

CHOW FAVES:

Crispy Imperial Rolls- With shrimp, pork, glass noodles and peanuts. You take the lettuce, spread the sauce around, and lay one of the rolls in the center, then wrap it up. Delish!

Barbecued Pork Spareribs- So succulent…the meat fell right off the bone.

Shaking Beef- Filet mignon, watercress, onions, and lime sauce. The beef was tender and well seasoned. We liked it so much we got a second order.

Chicken Claypot- It was juicy, moist, and spicy!

Carmelized Tiger Prawns- Very good…full of  flavor.

SIP: Great cocktail menu.

THE SWEET SPOT:

Lemon Meringue- It was standard.

Chocolate Cake with Peanuts- Very rich- could’ve used ice cream instead of whipped cream.

CHAT:

My next trip to San Francisco will definitely include another visit to The Slanted Door!
