Michael White is at it again. His new restaurant Ai Fiori, in the Setai Hotel is open! Ai Fiori is inspired by the French Riviera and Mediterranean Coast. I went there for lunch earlier this week, and  the 2nd floor resto was adorned with modern art and flowers. There’s an elegant silence to the dining room. Ai Fiori is classy with excellent food and service.

Lunch was wonderful….I’ll definitely go back for dinner. Now for my CHOW FAVES:

Lobster Salad: Chilled maine lobster, romaine, potoato gribiche, citrus vinaigrette – This was delightful. I loved the accompaniments. It really worked well with the lobster.

Gnoccchetti: Saffon gnocchi with crab and sea urchin- The pasta was perfect all around- consistency, flavor, and balance.

Trofie Nero Ligurian Crustacean Ragoût, Seppia, Scallops, Spiced Mollica- This is my latest addiction! It’s amazing.

Agnolotti Braised Veal Parcels, Butternut Squash, Black Truffle Sugo- Rich and savory.

CHAT: I’m looking forward to going back for dinner. I already know what I want to try- The Bass, Poached Lobster, and of course, a few Pasta dishes!
