I went to see Prince last night at MSG….he was amazing!

CHOW FAVES of the evening: Oysters, Fries, Sliders, and Sticky Toffee Pudding.
SIP: Champagne and Cocktails.
A friend we were with is friends with Adrien Brody so he joined us, and I happened to be sitting right next to him at our table at Schiller’s. He’s a great guy. You know I had to get the Foodie 411 before the night was over, and I did! Here are a few restos Adrien spoke highly of….BTW- I’m in total agreement with his picks.
Rice – features dishes from around the world with rice as a common thread. It’s a cozy and casual spot with friendly service. The food is healthy with good subtle flavors.
MY CHOW FAVES:
Vegetarian Meatballs – Moist and savory balls of Tofu, Miso, Soy, Scallions and Red Peppers- offered in a Sweet or Spicy Sauce, served over rice.
Jerk Chicken Wings- Juicy with a slight crisp.
Public for brunch- Offering a great mix of sweet and savory dishes on the brunch menu. The food is fantastic- unique, flavorful, and presented well.
MY CHOW FAVES for brunch:
Tea-Smoked Salmon Eggs Benny- Delectable….particularly the yuzu hollandaise.
Coconut Pancakes- Light and fluffy.
Quinoa Hash Browns- Surprisingly delicious!
The Lion- Check out my previous posts on The Lion. http://bit.ly/gyCsbH and http://bit.ly/gkqNZp
One thing to add that Adrien Brody put me on to… The space The Lion’s housed in was one of the first spots in NYC to get a liquor license.
Schiller’s Liquor Bar- 131 Rivington / 212-260-4555
Rice- 292 Elizabeth St / 212-226-5775
Public- 210 Elizabeth St / 212-343-7011
The Lion- 62 West 9th St/ 212-353-8400

I just had to comment. This is a LOVELY blog…I was just “cruising the internet” and found IT! This may sound crazy but,I find your blog inspiring… it made me want to find out who you were! lol. The pics are wonderful and the burst of color in each of them just make you feel like you are there. I plan on bookmarking this site and visiting it more frequently. You know?…It gives me hope! Sounds silly but, I LOVE TO EAT and one day, I am going to be where I want to be (career wise) so I can go to all these places and never blink twice at the price. Again, lovely blog.
Thank you very much. It means a lot to me that you enjoy my blog! I’m sure you’ll be exactly where you want to be in no time! Continue to Sip, Chat, & Chow!
Cheers,
Tricia
