Chow Crave: Brats
Is it Oktoberfest? No….but let’s act like it is because these dogs and wieners are too good to pass up! The sausage and bratwurst bar from the folks at “Klee” offers a variety of classic and unique sausages.
They do a great job of pairing different mustards with the meat. For those of you who aren’t carnivores, there’s still a lil’ something for ya: pretzels, pickles, spinach and tofu dip, salads, and sweets.
I’m sure my list of faves will increase after a few more visits.
The toasted poppy seed bread, mustard, and sauerkraut are delish. It’s so good that I could’ve had it sans the sausage.
Bratwurst- Pork sausage studded with swiss cheese and a side of candied apple mustard.
Beef Wiener- Served with horesradish mustard.
Italian Sausage- Juicy, sweet sausage spiced with fennel seeds and a side of firestarter mustard.
Potato Salad- It was topped cinnamon- very nice touch.
SIP: They have everything from milkshakes to wine, beer, and sake.
CHAT: They just opened their sister restaurant right next door- Little Cheese Pub! They feature 30 different cheeses served as cheese plates and snacks. Now, with all that cheese you’re going to need something to wash it down with….there’s wine and lots of beer on tap for that very reason.
