Donatella is a Definite!
Donatella’s casual Neapolitan pizzeria didn’t feel like a traditional NYC pizza spot (like Co, Otto, Arturo’s, etc). It had more of a chic, suburban restaurant feel.
We went there for the pizza (after all, a pro from Naples came in to build the blinged out oven), and to our surprise became fans of a few of the non-pizza dishes.
Veal Meatballs: Moist and flavorful….very tasty!
Lasanga: It was fantastic…. very well balanced ingredients.
Margherita Pizza- It was descent but I guess I wasn’t that into it because it wasn’t served hot- barely warm, and that resulted in a soggy pie. I’d definitely give it another try because it had all the right ingredients… a good crust, fresh mozzarella, and a robust sauce.
MY SIP/CHAT: Enjoy a cocktail at the vibrant lounge around the corner- Dbar. You can munch on a pizza while sipping moonshine.
