Maialino is another Danny Meyer’s production. The Italian resto located in the Gramercy Park hotel is casual and lively. The service and food are top notch. There’s a big emphasis on Pork here- it’s at the heart of the menu.
MY CHOW FAVES:
Fried Artichokes: Crispy and flavorful!
Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe: Pasta with pecorino and black pepper- The pasta was delicious and rich.
Malfatti al Maialino: Sucking pig ragu and arugula- I never really eat pork but it’s a staple here so I had to try it….and it was amazing!
Spaghettini alle Vongole: Pasta with clams, white wine and garlic- Perfectly prepared.
Pesce Spada: Swordfish with fennel and trumpet mushrooms- It was moist and tasty.
CHAT: If you’re in the mood for hanging out after dinner, head across the lobby to Rose Bar.
