Los Angeles during NBA All Star Weekend 2011 was a madhouse- in a good way. Lots of meetings, dinners, games and parties!
A few nights ago we were hanging out with Baron Davis- the dynamic, athletic, explosive point guard from the LA Clippers. Since he’s from LA, I wanted to get the foodie 411 on his favorite LA spots!

Marcus Samuelsson is an award-winning chef (one of MY FAVES), cookbook author, food activist, and winner of Bravo’s “Top Chef Masters”! He’s known for his bold flavors and global influences- particularly from Africa and Sweden. His food is inventive, classy, well-executed and flavorful.
Red Rooster [in Harlem] is Marcus’ latest venture, and here it’s all about cooking from the SOUL- featuring a menu of New American comfort food classics. I was there a few weeks ago and enjoyed every bite! Red Rooster is a wonderful addition to Harlem!

I love NYC Restaurant Week because it gives you a chance to Sip, Chat, Chow at some of NY’s top restaurants for a fraction of the price. On this particular night, we ventured downtown to SHO. And it was yet another great night of fine dining and fabulous food.
Sho’s chic, modern and elegant decor transports you into a world of exquisite sophistication. The wine corridor is magnificent- rows of wine bottles encased in glass with a long middle bar topped with candles.
This is a place fit for foodies. The global accented French fare provides a perfect combination of flavors and textures. And I can’t forget about the impeccable service.
