Late Night At Lavo

The upbeat and bustling dining room at Lavo is fully stocked with lively peeps (a mix of old and young), a resident DJ and a vivacious vibe. The energy in the room is just as big as the menu. You’ll find Italian standards like Baked Clams, Chicken Parm, Pasta, Steak and Pizza. The food is good, and the club downstairs gets poppin’!  All and all, Lavo is a good midtown option. I’ve been to Lavo many times and it never disappoints (the kitchen stays open till 1a and 3a on the weekend)!

We went to Lavo last night with Milwaukee Bucks Guard Brandon Jennings and he loved the food and atmosphere.

CHOW FAVES:

Meatballs- Tender and Tasty…I love the whipped ricotta.

Calamari- Standard.

Lobster- Fresh and light.

Garlic Bread- Yummy! You can’t go wrong with garlic and cheese!

Scallops- Succulent and perfectly cooked.

Chicken Parmesan- Delish…the chicken was thin and the cheese had a nice bubbling crust to it.

Gnocchi with Cauliflower- Intensely flavored!

THE SWEET SPOT:

Fried Oreos- These fried zeppoles are like crack- so good!
