I’m sure that you’ve realized by now that The Lion is one of my favorite spots. So, I was really happy when they added brunch to their weekend rotation. Brunch at the Lion was just what I expected it to be- American-style fare with a twist. There was a good balance of sweet and savory dishes on the menu.

Check out my complete review of The Lion and Chef John DeLucie’s Sip, Chat Chow.

BRUNCH CHOW FAVES:

Biscuits- A great way to start any meal. These biscuits are delicious- flaky, soft and moist.

Egg White Frittata- A terrific blend of veggies (mushrooms and kale) and goat cheese.

Lion Burger- Juicy and flavorful with great accompaniments – pickles and a big slab of pork belly.

Truffled Baguette- Two poached eggs placed on top of a crispy baguette with black truffle pecorino- very tasty.

Biscuit Sandwich- This is not your standard bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. For starters, the biscuit is full of flavor and the combination of spec and smoked cheddar made it the ultimate dish.

SIP: From The Juice Bar

Thirst Quencher: Pressed cucumber, fuji apple and lemon juices- super refeshing!

The Lion- 62 West 9th Street / 212-353-8400
