Salama is a sexy, cozy and bustling Moroccan den with chic decor located down a narrow alley close to the port. When we walked in it seemed like every table was filled with a group of girls or a couple. So it was GNO/Date Night at Salama! The upbeat vibe and romantic in-door garden feel makes it a must visit when you’re in St Tropez.
Salama hits the spot with Moroccan staples like Tagine and Couscous. The portions are fairly large but you can work some of it off by groovin’ to the eclectic playlist. When Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep” came on everyone went nuts and sang along.
CHOW FAVES:
Sampler- A collection of Moroccan specialities.
Chicken Tagine- Full of flavor.
Lamb Tagine- My Fave!
Couscous with Chicken- Definitely a dish to share!
SIP & CHAT:
After dinner we stopped at a friend’s house for cocktails then headed to the “over-the-top” Italian resto Villa Romana for a drink. It felt like an upscale carnival- and was extremely festive.
Salama- 1 Rue des Tisserands, 83990 St-Tropez, France / 0494975962
