Marble Lane @ The Dream Downtown
Newcomer Marble Lane in the Dream Downtown has swagger. The upbeat vibe, low lighting, leather banquettes, sleek glass fixtures and party playlist makes the swanky Mepa resto a destination for many.
There was a good mix of people when we arrived, and as the night progressed patrons in suits were replaced with sexy women in minis and hipster dudes. Even though Marble Lane is housed in the middle of the hotel lobby, the sunken structure creates a good separation for the club-like resto. And the party doesn’t end here- after dinner head up to PH-D Rooftop Lounge for more cocktails, hot beats and exquisite views.
Oysters- Always a great way to start the meal.
Crab Cakes- Succulent crab with a cracker crust- Yummy!
Yellowfin Tuna Tartare- Standard.
Tender Bibb with Blue Cheese and Bacon- Masterful assembly!
Plancha Calamari- Tender and tasty.
Carne Asada NY Strip with Pico De Gallo- Well dressed and delicious!
Ponzu Hanger Steak- My favorite…it was cooked to perfection. The combination of shishito peppers and ponzu sauce coated the steak beautifully.
Grilled Loup De Mare (Sea Bass)- Pretty good.
Whipped Potatoes- So creamy.
Fries- Well seasoned and crispy.
Patron XO Cafe- Premium blend of tequila and coffee.
THE SWEET SPOT:
I don’t remember the names because we didn’t look at the dessert menu- they just sent a few things over.
