St Tropez is filled with restaurants where you want to be seen but usually those spots don’t have the best food. So, on this trip, our strategy was to seek out the real culinary gems for dinner and visit the trendy hot spots for lunch, cocktails or a light snack.

Tucked away in the heart of the old quarter of St Tropez, Caprice Des Deux is a quaint bistro that transports you to a romantic place.  It’s located on a side street close to the port. The well executed menu delivers French, Mediterranean and Modern cuisine in an old village house with three rooms- all with their own character. One set with candles, the other with mirrors and the third with wood accents.

Spinach Salad with Truffles and Parmesan- Delicious!

Artichoke Salad- Well seasoned!

Salmon Sashimi- Light and fresh.

Cocotte Egg with Truffles- A little breakfast for dinner, well executed!

Risotto with Scallops- The risotto was perfectly prepared and the scallops were the perfect accent.

White Fish with Mushrooms- A savory dish full of flavor!

Burrata with Pesto-I thought I was in Italy for a moment because the burrata was so creamy and pure. I really enjoyed the addition of the pesto drizzled on top.

Shrimp with Pasta- Standard.

After dinner we headed to one of the hot spots on the Port- Le Quai!

A few bottles and dance moves later, we found ourselves rocking out into the wee hours of the morning at Les Caves Du Roy in the Byblos Hotel.
