Avra should be your go-to if you’re in the mood for great fish and attentive service in an upbeat, chic environment. The stylish resto in midtown features Greek favorites and Mediterranean specialties with a seafood focus. The two biggest draws for me are:
1. Al fresco dining
2. A wonderful selection of fresh fish on ice
CHOW FAVES:
Greek Salad- Standard
Mussels- Full of flavor, and I loved that it was drizzled with feta.
Sea Bass (ordered by the pound)- Amazingly fresh and simply grilled.
Spinach with Rice
String Beans with Tomatoes
SIP:
Greek White Wine- Crisp…a great accompaniment to the meal.
THE SWEET SPOT:
Both desserts were on point!
