Tom Colicchio delivers waterfront dining starring locally sourced food at Riverpark. It’s located in a barren area that’s out of the way but it’s worth the trip.

The beautiful view of the East River really sets the tone for the elegant, modern and warm atmosphere. This beauty runs throughout all elements including the food.  Riverpark has a romantic feel but it’s also good for big groups. The noise level is low so you can actually have a conversation.

The New American Menu  delivers innovative dishes with Mediterranean influences and locally sourced ingredients- some from their very own Farm out front.

We had brunch outside on the charming terrace and it was wonderful. We brunched on unique and expertly prepared dishes that went beyond standard omelets and french toast.

CHOW FAVES:

Avocado Toast- Delish!

Fish Cake with Poached Egg- The dish was kind of muted. I expected more flavor from the fish cake or sauce the accompanied it.

Pork Belly Breakfast Sandwich- A great take on the traditional egg sandwich.

Shrimp & Grits- Tasty….the consistency of the grits were great and the pulled pork was a nice accessory.

Fried Chicken Biscuit Sliders- Buttery and flaky biscuits with perfectly fried chicken.

Side Order of Pork Belly

Roasted Bananas with Pecans and Caramel- A delightful sweet treat.

Cinnamon Doughnuts- Pure heaven! I’m still thinking about them.

Riverpark- 450 E 29th St (At 1st Ave) / 212-729-9790
