Empellón is hipster meets foodie, serving upscale-ish Mexican treats in a sexy and boisterous setting, with a pretty cool playlist rocking in the background.
CHOW FAVES:
Asparagus Salad- Standard.
Octopus with Parsnip and Salsa Papanteca topped with Pumpkin Seeds, Chipotle and Arbol Chiles - A good blend of textures and flavors- nutty.
Poached Quail Egg Sope – Very tasty.
The tacos were on point! All were seasoned well with great accompaniments. I classify them as designer tacos with key accessories.
