This quaint New American French Bistro nestled in the heart of the West Village is a great spot for brunch. Cafe Cluny’s charming demeanor along with a few staple dishes makes it a neighborhood favorite. Be prepared for a bit of a wait.
Hudson Street is turning into Restaurant Row… in a good way! We can add Spasso (sister resto to L’Artusi and Dell’Anima) to the likes of Hudson Clearwater, En Japanese Brasserie, RedFarm, Caliu, Bistro de la Gare, Frankies 570 and Takashi.
Spasso is a cozy, low-key Italian resto in the West Village perfect for date night or a casual dinner with friends. The service was a bit off at this rustic resto but the food made up for it. Their pasta game is tight- handmade, simple, clean and tasty.
Celeb sightings, gnudi, a bustling bar, pig-clad decor, and Jay-Z’s private 3rd floor space makes Ken Friedman’s hipster hangout- The Spotted Pig, a go-to gastropub!
The high energy, swanky, tavern-like resto continues to be a staple in NYC. Alex Bloomfield serves up sophisticated British/Italian food with a twist that keeps you coming back for more! Her focus is on delivering inventive English pub classics.
This casual West Village urban fish shack delivers comfort food with a seafood focus and a bustling bar. A few things to note- breakfast items are served until 4p during the week, they’re open late night, the music is usually on point, and there seems to be a little something for everyone (even if you’re not a seafood lover). I haven’t tried the ditch dog or their Sunday Lobster Bake but it’s on my radar!
