R&B sensation and Grammy-nominated recording artist Melanie Fiona has many passions. I’m sure we can all guess what the top one is….yes, music! But did you know that she also has a passion for great food?
Her new album “The MF Life” will be released on February 7th, and I’m sure she’ll have a grand Sip, Chat, Chow night out to celebrate!

This is a timely post since Conde Nast just ranked Brooklyn one of the world’s 15 best places to visit!
L&B Spumoni Gardens is a Brooklyn institution! Brooklynites and people from all over flock to L&B for their crispy, slightly sweet sauce that lays on top of the cheese square slice. I’ve loved it since I was a kid growing up in Brooklyn, and it’s still one of my faves. PS- You can top it off with Spumoni ice cream or an Italian ice.

It’s mostly about “THE SIP” in this post. I went to the ultra-charming new cocktail lounge, Weather Up in Tribeca on Monday night. I’m glad this Brooklyn-born spot decided to cross the bridge. When you first walk in, to the right is the bar, and part of it is laced with all the fixin’s for a mixologist to get busy. The spot isn’t small but definitely has a personal feel. You almost feel like you’re hanging out at a friend’s apartment.
I SAT DOWN WITH BROOKLYN’S OWN, CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED MC, TALIB KWELI (STRAIGHT OFF HIS FAVORABLE MENTION IN JAY-Z’S “DECODED”), AND GOT THE SCOOP ON HIS FAVORITE NYC RESTO, ULTIMATE DINNER PLAYLIST, AND MORE! CHECK OUT MY EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW.
