Pylos is super cute and cozy! I really love the vibe, food and ceiling of clay pots! Pylos delivers a collection of traditional Greek classics along with a few creative dishes in a cool environment in the East Village.
Make a ressie, or take a chance and you might score a spot at the communal table.

Hipster Caribbean Vibes At Miss Lily’s

Restaurant and nightlife impresario Serge Becker (of La Esquina, Cafe Select and The Box) has done it again! He created yet another spot with a cool-ass vibe, and put a hipster spin on ethnic food. This time it’s Miss Lily’s in the West Village/Soho. The low-key, kitschy-chic resto specializes in modern Jamaican/Caribbean cuisine. The menu is filled with traditional Jamaican staples with a twist. The food is rich, flavorful and tasty.
Miss Lily’s is more than a restaurant, it’s a highly curated scene. The front room has a diner feel while the back room is more edgy. The walls are laced with reggae album covers and the corner houses a resident DJ spinning Reggae, Soca and Calypso.
I went to Miss Lily’s this past weekend and I was really digging the vibe. The apps and the soundtrack were the real winners here!

My twin sister is a Supervising Producer for the Nate Berkus Show. You must tune in- it’s your destination for living beautifully each day. We actually indulged in twin trickery late last year with Nate as the focus. We pulled off a pretty clever stunt and he was such a good sport about it.
Nate is a force to be reckoned with….he’s a design expert, NY Times best-selling author, Oprah’s favorite designer and host of his very own show! He’s an awesome guy with great taste. So, naturally I wanted to know all about his favorite NYC spots.

Sara Jenkins (of Porchetta) is focused on pasta at her new resto Porsena, and it paid off! Most of the pasta dishes are fab! Porsena is an affordable neighborhood spot with a casual and warm atmosphere. I love the exposed brick and homey feel. The food is simple yet delicious.
