Friends of Michelle Ten stepped out for an all white (kind of…) champagne brunch to celebrate her birthday. We fell in love with her custom birthday cake which was a mini version of herself inspired by Hello Kitty (S/O to Simone). Happy Birthday, Ten!
Going Dutch In Soho

I had such high expectations for The Dutch because I’m a big fan of Chef Andrew Carmellini and Locanda Verde. Many (including celebrities) are flocking to one of the most buzzed about downtown restos housed in the old Cub Room space in Soho. It’s vibrant, trendy, casual, and filled with an eclectic mix of people- suits, hipsters, Andrew Carmellini-lovers, celebs and more. It’s definitely a scene! I love the large windows, dark wood interior and globe-shaped fixtures.
This isn’t a place you go to for a quiet dinner- be prepared for an extremely high level of noise. I’ve experienced all 3 dining rooms and prefer the back because you can actually chat with your friends.
The Dutch seems to be on to something because I was a fan of a few things but at the same time, thought other dishes could have been better. The inventive New American menu changed a bit since my last visit. Seems like they lightened it up for the summer- Smoked Ricotta Ravioli, Fried Chicken and The Rabbit Pot Pie have been replaced with lighter fare. It was all good though. This resto can take you through the day- good for lunch, dinner, late night eats and brunch! I’ll definitely be back.

I love the vibe in the garden at David Burke Kitchen! The subterranean dining room is cool but during the summer the garden is the best option! There’s a lounge/bar area, open air tables and cabanas reminiscent of South Beach.
In true David Burke fashion, he delivers inventive and inspiring New American cuisine that is whimsical and tasty. The creative menu and chic urban garden makes it one of NYC’s go-to-spots this summer.

The sustainable seafood resto from former Top Chef contestant Sam Talbot is now open in the Mondrian Hotel in Soho. There are 2 dining rooms- and both are magnificent. The garden room makes you feel as though you walked into a fairytale while the back dining room is more modern. The place is gorgeous and stacked with chandeliers. And it’s not just about the looks here- the food and service are on point!
The menu is filled with seafood goodies that are meant to be shared. We were impressed with most of the dishes, and dessert was the cherry on top! Talbot delivers the classics and stuns you with an innovative spin on seafood fare (along with non-seafood and veggie options).
It was a stylish scene- the crowd was comprised of a mix of hotel guests, jet-setters, hipsters and cool peeps within a broad age range. And after dinner, a select few usually head next door to the opulent asian-inspired lounge- Mister H.
