Heather Mitts is a pro soccer player and 2 time Olympic gold medalist. I’m always intrigued by athletes and their eating habits and preferences….so I went straight to the athletic and outgoing soccer beauty to get her Sip, Chat, Chow!
Check out Heather’s Sip, Chat, Chow:
I haven’t been to Jewel Bako in a couple of years but it seems as though this place hasn’t missed a beat since my last visit. The fabulous tunnel-like interior adds a warmth to the jewel-box size room. This chic Japanese resto offers a unique variety of sushi. Don’t come here if you’re craving chicken teriyaki…. but if you’re a sushi snob, you’ll feel right at home!
The food is delicate, fresh, complex and tasty- all within a wonderful presentation, topped off with terrific service. The best deal on the menu is the chef’s choice omakase- you can’t go wrong.
Socarrat is cozy, authentic, lively, and the food is great! The exposed brick, long communal table, and paintings really adds to the charm of this Spanish resto.
I must caution you though- if you go at prime dinner time, 8p-9p- expect a bit of a wait. They don’t take ressies. The good news is, you can always go next door to the adjoining tapas/wine bar until they call your name.
