The UES just got a bit hipper now that Chef and Restauranteur John DeLucie is in the hood. Crown is housed in a plush townhouse that exudes sexy. As soon as you arrive, you’re drawn in by the long zinc-topped bar, perfectly dim lighting, and well mixed cocktails. And this is just the beginning! The elegant and well dressed dining room has a clubby-lounge feel where distinct, stylish accents like crown molding, leather banquettes and wood-paneled walls really round things out. There’s a level of sophistication that’s apparent and it goes beyond the mature crowd. It’s definitely worth the schlep uptown especially to catch a glimpse of the private dining room tucked away behind a swinging bookcase on the lower level.

Chef John DeLucie delivers a well balanced menu of American classics- oysters, caviar, seafood, pasta dishes and meat favorites. We sampled a broad selection of items and were quite satisfied.

I’m sure that you’ve realized by now that The Lion is one of my favorite spots. So, I was really happy when they added brunch to their weekend rotation. Brunch at the Lion was just what I expected it to be- American-style fare with a twist. There was a good balance of sweet and savory dishes on the menu.

Check out my complete review of The Lion and Chef John DeLucie’s Sip, Chat Chow.

I caught up with my girl Amber the other day when she was in New York and got her Sip, Chat, Chow! We had a lot to talk about because she has so much going on! She’s in talks with VH1 about a reality show, just signed on to be a part of the Foxxhole team- hosting a weekly radio show on Sirius XM, and so much more. It’s great to see her doing her thing. Congrats, QT! You deserve it all!

Amber loves to cook for her friends and family but when she’s ready for a night out- here are her favorite spots!

Amar’e resurrected the NY Knicks, and for that we are all grateful! The Garden is buzzing again, and with the recent addition of Melo, the season continues to get better! Since arriving in NYC, Amar’e has been taking care of business on and off the court. He’s teaming up with Rachel Roy to produce a fashion line, launching youth basketball academies this summer, and is averaging 26 pts, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks per game. I would say Amar’e is #WINNING!

Amar’e has embraced all NYC has to offer especially when it comes to good eats!

CHOW FAVES of the evening: Oysters, Fries, Sliders, and Sticky Toffee Pudding.
SIP: Champagne and Cocktails.

A friend we were with is friends with Adrien Brody so he joined us, and I happened to be sitting right next to him at our table at Schiller’s. He’s a great guy. You know I had to get the Foodie 411 before the night was over, and I did! Here are a few restos Adrien spoke highly of….BTW- I’m in total agreement with his picks.
