A diverse menu, great wine list and a low key vibe is what I experience every time I go to Tarallucci e Vino. It’s good for breakfast, lunch, brunch or dinner, and is centrally located in the heart of Union Square. The chef delivers a robust Italian menu made up of small and large plates filled with gems for every meal.
Jean Georges delivers yet another gem, and this time it’s housed in the fabulous ABC Carpet with a farm-to-table theme. Food and shopping is a heavenly duo in my book so I applaud this partnership! Any meal at ABC Kitchen is worth having but today we’ll focus on lunch.
The rustic, chic dining room is reminiscent of a Nappa Valley experience. Everything from the chandeliers, to wooden accents, and antique china added to the modern and stylish decor. Jean Georges hits the mark on everything – perfect execution, flavors and creativity. ABC Kitchen is simply divine and gets an A+! It’s a Sip, Chat, Chow fave because I always have a spectacularly delicious meal here- and it’s not terribly expensive!
Mario Batali’s cozy, high energy tapas joint always hits the spot! The collection of small plates are broad and inventive- delivering solid ingredients and robust flavors. Sitting at the counter overlooking the kitchen is always fun but don’t take it for granted- scoring a table is pretty tough. I highly recommend making a res! If there’s a bit of a wait, Bar Jamon, Casa Mono’s sister restaurant is right around the corner, it’s a great place to grab a cocktail and an appetizer or two.
Mario Batali does a great job of transporting you to a cafe in Spain- allowing you to sample tasty tapas and great wine.
These are the hottest tables (Sip, Chat, Chow APPROVED) in town for Valentine’s Day! Score a ressie at one of these spots and you’ll definitely impress!

Yuba comes to us by way of 2 former Masa (the critically acclaimed Japanese resto) alums – serving modern Japanese fare. It’s a casual, chill spot glammed up with culinary delights such as wagyu skewers and caviar-topped oysters.
There was a thoughtful presentation to each course. I loved the plates and flatware.
The menu has traditional Japanese dishes along with more unique delights featuring high-end ingredients and influences from China and Italy.
